Water Softener Installation and Repair
Water softening reduces the amount of hardness (calcium, magnesium) in your water, which can cause lime scale build up and dry and itchy skin.
Installing a water softener replaces the hardness ions in your water with sodium or potassium ions. Water softeners operate on the ion exchange process where water passes through a media bed containing small plastic resin beads that is supersaturated with sodium. When water passes through this media bed, hard minerals such as calcium and magnesium attach to the beads and don’t pass through into your water supply. Sodium has a weaker attraction to the beads, so it is released into the water, leaving your water softer and calcium and magnesium free.
A water softener is a device that is plumbed right into your home water intake in the basement or utility room. Standard installation usually takes only 3-4 hours, meaning your home won’t be without water for long.
Water Filtration Installation and Repair
Water filtration systems installed by the Kobella team physically remove unwanted particles from the water through use of an absorbent medium. Carbon whole-house filtration systems use this technology and hook up to the main water supply, filtering water for the entire home.
Kobella also offers point-of-use drinking water system installed at specific faucet locations. These systems are typically installed right underneath your sink and simply require a connection to an existing water pipe. You have the option of running the clean and filtered water through your existing kitchen faucet, or adding an auxiliary faucet mounted next to the kitchen sink.
We have a variety of water filtration products and can help you make the best decision specific to your needs and water issues.
Reverse Osmosis Water Systems
Reverse osmosis is one of the most popular water filtration methods available for many reasons including:
- Improves taste, odor and appearance of water by removing contaminants
- Saves you money – no more buying bottled water
A reverse osmosis water system can be installed right at the kitchen sink to provide your family with clean, safe drinking water. The system can also be connected to your fridge and your ice machine.
Whole house reverse osmosis systems are also available. This kind of system would allow your family to have filtered water from all sinks, showers, tubs and appliances.
