Diagnosed a 2017 American Standard heat pump system operating exclusively in auxiliary mode, maintaining 67-68°F with 65W auxiliary heat consumption. Inspection revealed significant corrosion and dirt buildup on the control board terminals, particularly affecting the status indicator and default settings. Documented evidence of compromised electrical connections and circuit board deterioration, which was causing the system to bypass normal operation and default to auxiliary heat mode.
Successfully completed the follow-up service call to install a new humidifier unit on the customer's HVAC system as sold by Jeff. Mounted the replacement humidifier to the side of the central air handler, ensuring proper connection to the existing ductwork and securing all flexible metallic duct connections with appropriate tape. Connected the water supply line using copper piping with brass fittings to provide adequate water delivery to the humidification system.
Responded to service call for zone valve replacement. Upon inspection of the heating system, identified a faulty zone valve actuator with visible wear on the internal components. Successfully replaced the defective zone valve on the copper supply line, ensuring proper flow direction as indicated by the directional arrows on the valve body.
Successfully cleared clogged kitchen sink drain that had been treated with chemical drain cleaners by homeowner. Diagnosed and resolved slow drainage in left basin of double sink setup, restoring proper water flow through garbage disposal system.
