Exterior & Yard Drainage Solutions

There are many ways to improve drainage on your property. Some approaches are simple while others are more complex. Kobella offers the following solutions:

Foundation Drains

Foundation drains are installed near the bottom of your home’s foundation to divert the water that gathers around the house. Also called footing drains, they are typically made up of three parts: drain pipe, filter fabric and stone, and delivery system.

Roof and Storm Drain Pipes

Drain pipes ensure water does not collect on your roof or near the foundation by providing a direction for the rain to flow away from your home.

Gutters

Gutters and downspouts ensure rainwater is drained away from your home’s foundation.

Catch Basins

Catch basins, also known as storm drain inlets, typically include a grate, concrete basin and sump. The grate allows rain or storm water to enter into the basin, and the sump captures solid debris.

French Drains

French drains are slightly sloped trenches filled with gravel and a pipe that diverts water away from your house. Water runs into the gravel-filled trench, then into the perforated pipe at the bottom of the trench and finally travel freely through the pipe until it empties a safe distance from your home.
